The Five Factors Of Health

Here’s the simple breakdown to get started:
1. Exercise- don’t be wimpy here, 3 to 5 days a week, 40 to 60 minutes. Get your heart rate up with cardio exercises like the lifecycle, or the elliptical, go for a bike ride, walk some hills. Add light weights to your routine. If you’re struggling with getting started, which is often the hardest part, do what I do and go out a little each day and slowly build up your stamina. Give yourself a couple of weeks to build up strength. Mix it up, but most important get moving.
2. Diet- Do not complicate this, we all know the importance of sound nutrition. I believe in the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time eat healthy: lots of fruits and veggies, low sodium, minimal sugar, fish or organic meats, keep red meats to a minimum, eat a healthy breakfast, I like smoothies, and veggie protein drinks. 20% of the time splurge a little, I like to be realistic, and it’s fun to have a dessert once in a while. 3. Rest- Down time, relaxation, take a deep breath. Get enough sleep to support your active lifestyle.
4. Positive Mental Attitude- Turn off the T.V., and turn on the music, read or listen to a book. Do not make T.V. your only escape. While exercising listen to music, or listen to a motivational book on tape.
5. Maximum Nervous System Function- Nothing else matters if your nervous system is choked off. Chiropractic adjustments are more than just pain relief. Your brain and nervous system control and coordinate ALL functions and organs in your body. Interference to your nervous system from subluxations has an effect on your body’s ability to function normally. Getting adjusted takes pressure off your nerves helping to keep your body functioning at 100% all the time.

    really is essential to health. IF you do not have the right attitude,
    you will never get the discipline it takes to stick with the program and
    make it work for you. You will need to learn to convince yourself that
    it is the right path and you should persevere and get yourself going in
